West accused Bush (and - by extension -white America in general) of helping the poor and black "as slow as possible." Matter of fact, according to West, Bush doesn't care about black people. Funny, then, along comes this story;
— Amid the chaos and confusion that engulfed New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina struck, a congressman used National Guard troops to check on his property and rescue his personal belongings — even while New Orleans residents were trying to get rescued from rooftops, ABC News has learned.
Said congressman is both a Democrat and a black man. So, while people were waiting to be rescued from rooftops, this black Democrat, used the military to drive him to his home, and wait on his porch for about an hour, while he retrieved things from his home. When did this happen? On September 2. The same day as West's famous comments.
Update: Blanco said what?
