Those calls for help as Katrina hit the shore are very sad to listen to. But, there was no one there to help, because there was a MANDATORY evacuation. See, that means, you are supposed to leave. If the shit hits the fan, there won't be anyone there to help you. This includes (amazingly enough) the Federal Government. EVEN IF THE LEVEE BREAKS A HOURS LATER, because - you see- people are still evacuated and won't be there to help you.
