Read at your own peril

My children (the boys, specifically) have lost THREE of their schoolbook in the last few weeks. Important, kinda expensive, not easily replaced books. Now, I homeschool, so I know they didn't get left in a school locker, or left in a classroom, or lost on the way to or from school. These fricken books are some where in my house. And I can not find them. And it is trying me nuts.

"Gee Mom, we can't do our history/reading/read-aloud because we lost the book ... tough break. "

And then, my head explodes.
