Perhaps Neil Diamond just doesn't translate well with young singers? Don't his songs mostly have a maturity, and suggest experiences, that supposedly none of these young singers posses? Certainly David Archuleta and Seyesha don't. And Brooke is about as squeaky innocent as they come. Jason's voice just didn't have the grit to carry a Diamond tune. And David Cook was the only one who made the tunes half-way interesting.
