Not to Brag....

But, I've got a pair of Great Blue Herons on my lake. This morning, they're flying all over the place, giving me a great show. They've got a nest somewhere just across the lake from our house. I think.

Of course, my dream bird would be a Loon. I think the lake is too small to support a breeding pair. Apparently they eat a LOT of fish. I'm turning into such a bird geek, I'm thinking of returning to a Michigan park we camped at last summer JUST to hear the loons.
