I thought it was Rethuglians who hated the environment. So imagine my surprise when I learned that Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick leased, on the taxpayer's dime, a Cadillac DeVille. For the bargain basement price of $9,792 per year. Sayeth a spokesperson ;

She has a Cadillac because it's an American-made product that is made and manufactured in her district," Walker said.

Huh, really? So, she is OK with the fact that she drives a car with a price-tag that exceeds the mortgages or rentals amounts in her district? She drives that car with pride, when she represents a district with high unemployment, abysmal public education, and horrible city services?

I'm still waiting to hear what she discovered on her "fact finding" mission to Africa.
